Molecular beacons
Molecular beacons are hairpin-shaped oligonucleotides with the internally quenched fluorophore. Molecular beacons are designed in the way to remain an intact stem-loop structure during primer elongation, while after each cycle they bind to amplicon to quantify the target. Also, you can order molecular beacons with additional chemical modifications to increase thermal stability and specificity.
- Detection of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP)
- Allele discrimination, gene copy number variation (CNV)
- Multiplexing for mutation detection
- Choose from a wide variety of reporter and quencher combinations for accurate analysis
